melbourne……nice n chill….

i’m back!! after sooooooo super long!

yup holidaying in melbourne and waiting for the planetshakers conference to start next week!  a few memories i must say…beautiful, happy, sad….

second time in melbourne….suppose to be here with someone…but due to some cirmcumstances….im here alone.  thank God for friends as im bunking in with a really great buddy!  Ziig.  whenever i see him, i tok to him, tok about him, reminds me that nothing’s really impossible in HIM….God that is!

2006. that was the year i introduced him to Mr Louis ‘the hulk’ Chen! and when those two met up….they were inseperable since….one a cyborg…one a hulk…. scary match!  haha, but both powerful warriors for God.  ziig was the last person to talk to about chrisitanity and this dude is sooooooo into heavy metal music and soo dark!! (he still is) that you wouldn’t think he’s a christian…haha

but well a year later… he came back to singapore with a mind that is so well versed in the bible, that i, a sunday school teacher @ church, is ashamed! God changes things….changes people…and He has showned once again how powerful and influential He is in our lives and how he can change one’s life into something beautiful.  you’ve just got to want it!

melbourne’s so far….two times….been a time where i reflect upon myself as a christian, a man, a son, a friend, and what He has installed for me.  and melbourne i must say, has this really condusive environment, and adding on the beautiful weather…nice….chill…relax!  jus makes you think and think n think……

a few more days and i’m back to singapore(NO!!!) and getting ready for my new job as a senior designer! STRESS….

for now…its relaxing and resting in melbourne…..nice n chill….

yup thank you Lord, for such an assuring and encouraging verse.  Lord i will continue to seek You and believe that you will answer my prayers.

The Word is Alive – Casting Crowns

Looking out from His throne, the Father of light and of men
Chose to make Himself known and show us the way back to Him

indeed His word is always alive. and it cuts through the darkness like a sword. therefore, we must always be ever so close to the word so that the darkness can never come near us. i realise whenever i stop reading the bible for a while like say a couple of days, something is bound to go wrong, i would feel something is missing, i would just feel empty.

but when i start blogging again, read His word again, immerse myself in gospel music….i feel so so very good. i feel more of Him and i feel so much more safe. in His word, in Him.

never leave His word alone, bring it everywhere you go. to protect yourself from the darkness of the world, and to brighten up the world. =)

Lord, help me to be ever consistent in your word, so that i can be filled up to the brim with your blessings and your word, so that i can be that bright light that shines through the hearts of the non-believers.

Ephesians 4:2

Ephesians 4:2:
²Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.

everytime we see a fellow brother n sister in Christ committing something wrong, what is our first reaction? yes to tell them. after that?? when we don’t see improvement or change?? we keep on going at them until they change. yes, many people may say that’s the only way to do it isn’t it?? we care for them, therefore we have to make sure they change.

but, are we to change them or we let Him change them? are we trying to hard? have we done enough??? like the verse above says, be humble, be patient and most importantly bearing one another in LOVE. we have to remember at times that, we don’t change people, God changes people. only He can change us. well, He created us in the first place, so why can’t He change us? =)

this is one thing i have learnt this past month about trying to change a fellow brother and sister. sometimes i try so hard, or my friends try so hard..then when we don’t see anything happening, we get disappointed. we get demoralised. and i start to realise that, yes theres only this much i can do, i have done my part, Lord, i’m leaving the rest into your hands.

and that’s where i also learnt that we have to start trusting Him that He will do changes. until we believe it, then will it happen. and yes until you believe He is in your life, will He be real in your life.

Lord,i lift all my friends into your hands Lord.  change them accordingly to what you want them to be. you and only you know what to change in them. Lord we trust in you with a humble heart Lord, that you will do something, you will change them in your time, in your will.   Lord help us to be patient in helping a brother and sister in Christ, help us to be humble when telling them their mistakes and Lord most importantly help us to be able to LOVE them as you have loved us.  thank you so much Lord. in your most precious name we pray,

thank you Lord again.

been a while…….

yes its been awhile since i last log on and blogged.

its been a month or so, bogged down with work, work, and more work.  and what’s more a mini revival in my small group!=)  for the last month, i’ve been so encouraged by a friend, Louis so much that many things changed in my life. my work attitude, my commitments, and my life.  i thank God for him in my life.  he not only brought more life into my boring life i already had, i he made it so much more interesting for me.

one thing he said, “many a times we always blame the evil one for our downfall, but we always miss out on the fact that it is us, yes US that is at fault for allowing the evil one to work in us. ” isn’t it so so true?.  we always overestimate the evil one, and underestimate how much we can destroy ourselves when we don’t put the Lord first.  many a time, we let the evil one get a hold on us and say to people, “we are humans, we are bound to have mistakes….”  and therefore that allows the evil one to take full control.

its is because we are humans, that’s why we need the Lord to keep us in check and to be right in Him!  so let’s carry on dwelling in His presence and depend more on Him for because we are weak, He is strong!=)

Lord thank you for placing people in our lives. thank you for reminding us about your importance through people and so many other ways, thank you for always being there for us.   Lord thank you!=)
